Guide To Hair Weave ( Hair Weaving Tips ). A guide for black women and all women. Get the weave you’ve always wanted. Sew-in weaves are getting more and more popular as the years go by, however many women are still in the dark when it comes to choosing the right hair and style for them. Although a good weave can get quite expensive, if done right it can be worth all the money in the world.
1. Get the Right Texture When getting a weave it is important to choose a texture that most closely resembles your natural hair texture. A lot of mistakes women make is getting a weave that is super straight and their natural hair is highly textured. Not only is the texture of the hair important but a texture that compliments your complexion and features as well.
2. Invest in Human Hair When getting a weave always go for human hair. Synthetic hair does not do well when exposed to heat from blow drying and curling. Also, human hair moves better and looks better. Always remember to show some scalp or your hairline to give a more natural look.
3. Don’t Be Afraid to Cut Every weave needs to be cut to fit your face. If you have too much hair on your head it can look like a wig. Razor-cut weaves are fabulous and although this may be hard at first but DO NOT brush your hair daily. This will create tangling and matting on the hair. Just give it a nice comb through instead.
4. Special Treatment Your weave should be treated like it is your actual hair. It needs to be washed and conditioned regularly. This way you’re taking care of your weave and not neglecting your own hair. Make sure when you wash the weave your own hair dries completely so that it won’t start to smell and get damaged. *Some of the best weave on the market right now is Indian Remy Human Hair.

Rachel Wood's new haircolor. Some of you may remember (as I do) a little show called
Felicity. One of the highlights during that far-too-short-lived TV series was when Keri Russell chopped off her signature long curly locks after a bad breakup with the object of her obsession, Ben. Well, it appears that actress
Evan Rachel Wood has done her own version of Felicity’s crop job, only instead of going for a cut after her split with Marilyn Manson, she has instead decided to go for a different haircolor—taking it from black to red.
Take a look:

I actually really like her new shade—it's much more flattering to her coloring than the raven shade she dyed her hair during her relationship with Manson. See?
Have any of you ever pulled a style switcheroo after a breakup? If so, did it make you feel better, like you were shedding the past or something? And what do you think of Evan's new hair hue? Do you agree with me that it's a nice change for the young star?

cold winter winds can be very
damaging to anyones
locks.
2008 Winter can make your hair very dry from both the indoor heating and the cold winds from outside. If you're worried about your
hair becoming
damaged this
winter follow these simple
tips to keep your hair from breaking off and becoming
damaged.
1. Instead of washing your
hair everyday, wash it every other day. This will keep your hair moisturized longer and keep it from becoming
dry and brittle. Also make sure you are giving your
hair a deep conditioning when you wash your hair. Use cold water to give your hair shine and to lock in moisture. Hot water can damage your hair in the winter and your skin.
2. Invent in a scarf, cap, or
hat to protect your hair from the cold winds. Make sure that your
scarfs are silk and that your hats are cotton so that you hair as a less change of becoming
damaged and breaking off.

3. Try not to leave the house with your
hair wet, not only can you become sick, but your
hair can also easily break off. At the same time don't use many
heated products on your hair such as
sedu irons, and
blow dryers. Keep them at limited usage. When you do use these items make sure you hair has been conditioned and moisturized first.
4. If your
hair is excessively
dry don''t be afraid to use
dry shampoos. They will
give your hair back the moisture it needs.
5.
Pamper your locks once a week with a
hot oil treatment. This works wonders for
dry hair.
6. If you have a problem with
fly-aways winter can bring tons of static to
hairstyles. Make sure you
use static sheets to keep the fly aways and static hair down.
